About Dr. Hawkins

Bryan Hawkins, DO, is board-certified in family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine, a new specialty designation that few physicians in the United States have achieved. At his practice, Non-Surgical Orthopedic Center in Oceanside, California, his approach to health care is anchored by hands-on osteopathic manipulative therapy and innovative treatments to restore function and reduce pain without relying on drugs or surgery.

Dr. Hawkins takes a whole-person approach to medicine. Instead of treating a set of symptoms, he considers every factor that could contribute to your current health problem, whether physical, emotional, or environmental, and treats the underlying cause. 

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, and the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine, Dr. Hawkins completed extensive fellowship training in neuromusculoskeletal medicine at Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, California.

He’s had the opportunity to work with many of the country’s leading physicians on the cutting edge of orthopedic medicine, learning the newest and least invasive treatments for conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, including fascia dysfunction and pain syndromes.

Dr. Hawkins is a San Diego County native who grew up in Lakeside along with his five siblings. He’s been married to his beautiful wife for 15 years and has five incredible children, four daughters and a son. He’s an Eagle Scout who loves all sports, especially basketball, football, and fishing. He spends his free time outdoors, hiking, camping, and surfing. Dr. Hawkins is also very active with his church.
