Dr. Schwabenbauer is a skilled and compassionate osteopath who really cares about his patients. I am so grateful for the results of his treatment. He leveled my hips and straightened my shoulders. My posture is more upright and my limp is gone. I have much less stiffness and pain in my back and knees. I always leave his office feeling much better than when I arrived. I feel lucky to be his patient and highly recommend him.

Dr. Brian Hawkins helped me recover jaw mobility, range of motion and function where others have failed. After severe osteoradionecrosis from 45 high dose throat cancer radiation treatments, the staff at Scripps and UCSD told me I should just accept the ‘new normal’ of a severely limited 5–7 mm jaw opening. This effectively restricted me to a totally liquid diet, CPAP for breathing, and continuous pain. Normal jaw opening is 40–50 mm and I was severely limited an my ability to eat, drink, talk and breathe.
Dr. Hawkins, let me know that it would take time, but he was certain that we could permanently restore most of my functional range of motion and eating function.
It’s been about nine months and I now have 35–40 mm of jaw opening. I am now living what is essentially a ‘normal’ life. I can eat, drink, speak and for all appearances can function normally in the world.
I strongly urge you to see Dr. Hawkins, and allow him to guide you through the healing process. He is a blessing to me and my family, and his dedication, skill and insight have literally given me a new chance at living a normal life.

Dr. Schwabenbauer has a unique style which is gentle, effective and yet comprehensive. He is insightful, experienced, and has integrated knowledge with technique in a way that addresses both the underlying structural issues and more immediate symptoms. I have been using various practitioners for over 30 years for traumatic injury, and I highly recommend him as a practitioner. Book a series of sessions with him now, and experience his healing touch.

Three in our family see Dr. Hawkins and his fellow 3 osteopaths. All four osteopaths are experts with neuromuscular treatments. Services we use are manipulations (safe, gentle, effective), hyaluronic acid knee injections ( my husband has put off partial knee replacement for several years now. He returned to his gym for full workouts!), PRP injections that are always guided ( one injection took my hip bursitis and tendonitis away since 2017). And very caring staff!!

Always happy with the results of Dr. Hawkin's non-surgical treatment of my carpal tunnel wrist conditions. Much nerve pain relief and hand movement and usage which lasts a good 9 months or more.
